"I asked Abi to do some sketches of my mum's cat, Pebbles, as a birthday present for her. Mum absolutely adores her cat and I thought it'd be a sweet present for her, I secretly fished for mum's favorite pictures of her and gave them to Abi to sketch thinking "dear God these are literally the most difficult ones mum could have chosen to be drawn." But she blew my expectations out of the park! I got a little lump in my throat looking at them for the first time and when my mum saw them she cried, she was so happy with them and said that they were a couple of the best gifts I'd ever got for her, they are now both framed, one of them Is in mum's living room and one in her bedroom, the one in the living room still gives me a smile whenever I see it and makes me want to go stroke pebbles.... But she's a scaredy-cat so she often runs away from me I was incredibly happy that the gifts were so well received and as soon as I saw them I knew in the future I will ask Abi to do more sketches for and of those dear to my heart"
